The Bible is a big book. So big that fully understanding it remains a lifelong goal. Rather than trying to read it through in a few sittings, like most of us do with many smaller books, many people instead read a small amount every day.
The slow-and-steady approach has a lot of benefits, but it comes with one major challenge—knowing what to read in what order. Enter: free Bible reading plans available in the Logos Bible Software.
A Bible reading plan organizes your daily reading around a theme, so you can quickly get an overview of what Scripture says about a given topic without investing any time searching. We have a huge variety to choose from—57 unique plans to be exact.

How to get these Bible reading plans
Now is a perfect time to launch a new study, and you can get started in minutes. All you have to do is download the free Logos Bible app, available on any device.
Logos Basic includes the Faithlife Study Bible AND 40+ other free resources, plus powerful features to help you not just read the Bible, but study it.
One of the most incredible built-in tools you’ll get is the Bible Word Study tool. Whether you’re reading from the mobile app, web, or desktop, it only takes a couple taps to see what a word means, how it’s translated in other parts of Scripture, and where the word appears in other parts of the Bible. Here’s how Mark Ward did a Bible Word Study on love.
How to start a new plan from the Logos mobile app
- Open the Logos app
- Tap the hamburger menu button (three lines stacked on top of each other) in the bottom right, then tap Books under Library.
- Tap the Bible version you’d like to read from. (Logos Basic includes free access to versions like the KJV, CSB, and the Lexham English Bible. If you prefer a different version, you can add it to your Logos library affordably—many other popular Bible versions are under $10.)
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then tap Start a Reading Plan.
- Choose the plan you want from the Plan section.
After you’ve done it once, it takes about three seconds to start a plan. And bonus—you can do this with any book in your Logos library!
