The Future of Bible Study Is Here: See What’s New in Logos

The Next Era of Logos Is Here! What You Should Know

The words The Next Era of Logos Is Here

The next era of Logos is here! With new tools and enhanced features, Logos makes creating powerful Bible studies, sermons, and academic papers easier than ever. And, unlike previous versions of Logos, the new Logos will get better and better every few months.

So, what makes this version of Logos our best yet?

Easier to use than ever before

Users loved the simplifications we brought to Logos 10, but many asked us to go even further. So, we made the following:

A new Get Started wizard gets you straight into your study, no matter what you want to accomplish.

The Help Center gives you all the support you need right within the app.

And Insights gives you instant access to your favorite commentaries, study Bibles, and cross-references right inside your Bible.

But perhaps the biggest step forward is the new dynamic toolbar. If you’ve ever struggled to locate how to add a parallel Bible, toggle Factbook Tags off, or change the text size, you’ll love the new toolbar. It’s logically organized and clearly labeled, making it easy to use Logos’s powerful features.

This steep learning curve that Logos has had for so long is coming to an end. I’m serious. I do not think that Logos … any longer has a very steep learning curve. I think this software is incredibly easy to use now.

Quicker access to deeper insights

In Logos 10, we simplified our search syntax—we’ve now removed the need for syntax with most queries. Instead, with the new Smart Search, you can type short queries using natural English, such as How did Paul die? or How far is Nazareth from Jerusalem? and get highly relevant answers from across your library.

Even better is the Smart Synopsis. Smart Synopsis uses cutting-edge AI to distill the top five search results into a short, easy-to-digest paragraph. Best of all, every sentence has a footnote to show you which page of which book the AI pulled the information from—so there’s no need to blindly trust the AI has it right.

I did a smart search … [and] the synopsis that followed was absolutely mind-blowing. Talk about a game-changer.

AI tools also help you summarize what you’re reading or searching—helping you to digest more information in less time or more quickly determine whether a book is worth reading closely.

Factbook also has a significant upgrade and a lovely new look. It can now help mine the depths of any biblical passage, interactively showing the people, places, things, and events mentioned and even what different characters said to one another. The new lens bar also lets you look at a topic from different perspectives—whether that’s a biblical perspective or a theological one.

More powerful Bible studies and sermons

Logos now comes with the brand new Bible Study Builder, an easy-to-use but powerful tool that helps you create personalized Bible studies using books in your library. Using Bible Study Builder, you can easily find questions on any passage from the Bible, insert those questions into your study, rearrange them, and then edit them so they’re just right for your small group.

Sermon Builder also got its biggest-ever upgrade with the brand-new Sermon Assistant. Sermon Assistant is an AI-powered tool that can help your messages have even more impact. Sermon Assistant suggests possible outlines, illustrations, applications, or questions to adapt and use in your message. Writing sermons will always require a prayerful pastor to wrestle with the biblical text and think deeply about how it can be explained and applied to a specific congregation, but Sermon Assistant helps you get through writer’s block by providing suggestions and ideas when you get stuck.

Getting better all the time

But perhaps the best feature of the new version of Logos is that it gets better all the time. There’s no more waiting for two years to get improvements. Instead, every few months, we’ll add new or improved features to ensure Logos continues to equip you to study God’s Word.

That’s because the new version of Logos is available exclusively as a subscription. It comes in three subscription plans:

  • Premium for small group leaders or anyone interested in deep Bible study.
  • Pro for pastors and ministry leaders who preach regularly.
  • Max for academic-level research and sermon prep.

Each tier comes with a starter collection of books and all the features you need for that purpose.

If you already own Logos 10, prices start from just $6.99/month for Premium or less than $135 for two years upfront.

Making the most of your library

But of course, Logos isn’t just about features; it’s about that compelling combination of fantastic features and brilliant books. The new features make it easier than ever to find and understand great content, so there’s never been a better time to expand your library.

I’ve built this large library over years and was barely scratching the surface of the books I owned. With Smart Search those books are paying off.
—C. Sielbeck

We have twenty-two brand-new libraries for you to choose from, each providing you with the best modern and ancient wisdom on the bible and theology. Libraries are yours to keep forever, and prices start at just $39.99.
