Professor Larry Hurtado gives a concise yet insightful breakdown of trends in NT studies (yes, they happen!), and how to respond to them.
His advice is particularly useful for seminary students and for those embarking on a PhD, where often people are encouraged to write something “new” or to engage with the “hot topics” of the day.
