God's Fingerprints seeks to show why Christianity is the only rational faith system appropriate to the universe we inhabit. The super-person of God the Holy Trinity alone will suffice. Starting from scientific tools that we all may use, and constraints to which we all are subject, God's Fingerprints moves to the very simple evidence of everyone's experience, arriving at the question of our origins, possible religious and philosophical views we may adopt, and the central questions of truth and morals.
"Watts writes from within the arena of science and philosophy,
with scholarship and personal integrity. He exposes the
irrationality of atheism and the inconsistencies of agnosticism. He
poses the questions: what are we, what is true, where is meaning,
why is there order rather than chaos, and why is there something
rather than nothing? He shows the futility of morality based only
on human preferences and argues powerfully for a super-personal
Creator."
--Michael Baughen, former Bishop of Chester, UK
"At a time when polling data reveals a significant decline in the
number of well-educated people identifying as Christians, this book
is a breath of fresh air. Trevor Watts writes with the authority of
a respected medical researcher who spent his career at London's
prestigious Guy's Hospital, working in the secular world, yet
witnessing as an intelligent and informed believer. Christians
ought to read this book and give it to their secular
friends."
--Irving Hexham, Professor of Religious Studies, University of
Calgary
"Watts presents his investigation with patience and engaging
clarity."
--Kenneth Kitchen, Emeritus Professor, University of Liverpool,
UK
