The Complete Biblical Library was a remarkably ambitious undertaking involving over 500 Bible scholars and researchers. It took over 20 years to produce an exhaustive reference set, unlike any other. The result was a 39-volume library detailing the entire Bible, blending all study tools into one resource.
The CBL's unique interface of fresh, precision study tools makes it ideal for the Bible scholar and the serious student. The Old and New Testament collection set contains an Old and New Testament Study Bible, a Hebrew-English Dictionary, a Greek-English Dictionary, a Various Versions volume, a Harmony of the Gospels, and a Greek Grammar.
Such a combination of biblical and theological material has not been produced in any previous work. The Complete Biblical Library is special because it employs a system which is usable by those who have little or no knowledge of Hebrew or Greek, yet will appeal to theologians at the highest level of scholarship. For all who use this work, it will open wider the door to the richness of the original text of the Old and New Testaments.
“His question really denied the love of God and was intended to imply, ‘How could God keep any good thing from you if He loves you?’” (Genesis 3:1)
“Adam did not go willingly. God had to drive him out. God knew Adam would want to return, so He placed cherubs (the Hebrew plural is cherubim) with a flaming sword that turned every way, flashing back and forth to prevent Adam (or humankind) from returning to the tree of life.” (Genesis 3:24)
“God would also put enmity between the seed or offspring of the serpent and the seed or offspring of the woman. The offspring of the serpent may refer to those who, like the Pharisees who opposed Jesus, have Satan as their ‘father’ (John 8:44) in the sense that they are directed by him, whether they know it or not. Thus all unbelievers are the seed of the serpent until they are ‘born again’ and become part of the family of God and are thus ‘in Christ’ who is the true ‘Seed’ of the woman (cf. Gal. 3:16).” (Genesis 3:14โ15)
“Adam tried to shift the blame. He implied the woman was responsible. But Adam was not simply shifting the blame to her, but like all unrepentant sinners, tried to put the blame on God as well, for God gave him the woman. He as much as said, ‘If you hadn’t given me this woman it wouldn’t have happened.’ God did not accept this, however, and put the responsibility back on Adam, as verse 17 shows.” (Genesis 3:12)
“That is, they became aware they had nothing to hide their guilt.” (Genesis 3:7)
