Overview

This Hebrew volume of the Dictionary of Biblical Languages (DBL) provides a comprehensive resource for the student of Biblical Hebrew. The text is ordered by GK (Goodrick-Kohlenberger) numbers, and most definitions are also categorized by semantic domain according to the numbering system set forth in the Louw-Nida Lexicon (also available for the Libronix Digital Library System). This Hebrew volume of the DBL is a centralized source of information about Biblical Hebrew, with numerous links to other resources for comparison.

This book only references the Louw-Nida numbers - you have to have another resource with the Louw-Nida categories in it to see the actual semantic domains. This isn't at all clear from the book's description. Despite several attempts to contact customer service, they seem unwilling to engage over this issue.

This reference would have been far more valuable and distinguished had the authors, taking a cue from Louw/Nida, grouped the words by semantic domain rather than alphabetically; isn't the market already saturated enough with alphabetical lexicons?
