For many people, comparing Bible translations is a central part of in-depth Bible study. Because of the variety of approaches taken by translation teams, it can be helpful to consult and compare multiple translations to get a fuller sense of the text.

The Bible Clusters graph is an entry point to this kind of comparison. At a glance, it plots the relative differences between as few or as many translations as you desire.

Plot of 6 Bible translations, showing
difference between each

The further away two points are from one another on the graph, the greater the difference between the English text of those two translations. (If you prefer to work in Greek, the graph can also show differences between the various Greek texts.) This makes it easy to see which translations render the passage similarly, and which ones offer something unique.

Clicking any of the points on the graph opens another report called Compare Parallel Bible Versions which provides a word-by-word comparison of the texts—perfect for in-depth examination of the differences between versions. Colors are used to highlight words that vary from the base text selected for comparison.
