Common questions about our subscriptions
FAQ
What is the next version of Logos?
The next major version of Logos is here and available in three subscription tiers designed to fit the main ways people use Logos: small group prep (Premium), sermon prep (Pro), and academic and original language study (Max). We hope to give users exactly what they need—no more, no less. We want users to feel like their Logos subscription exactly fits their needs.
Along with these new subscriptions, we’re launching new libraries to enhance every new feature and pair perfectly with our subscriptions. These new libraries are only available to Logos subscribers. However, Legacy Libraries remain available to everyone.
Why is Logos moving to a subscription?
The world is changing fast, and customers have told us they don’t want to wait two years to get new and improved features that would help them get deeper insights in less time. As a result, Logos must evolve to enable truth-seeking at the same pace as the world we live in. With a subscription, you’ll get new features and improvements as soon as they’re ready—no more waiting for two years.
We’ll also be able to respond to your needs faster, turning good features into great ones and releasing new capabilities created to meet specific needs. Plus, we can include advanced AI and cloud-backed features that require ongoing support and help make Logos both easier to use and more powerful so that you can focus on understanding and communicating Scripture. You’ll also enjoy valuable perks and lower upfront costs, making it easier to try Logos without a big commitment.
Will I lose my features, books, or investment in Logos?
No! Your investment in Logos is safe. You’ll always be able to access your content in Logos for free.
You aren’t required to subscribe to keep access to content or features you already own. The subscription is for anyone who wants access to the latest version of Logos which will get new features or improvements roughly every six weeks.
If you’ve already purchased Logos packages or feature sets, those are yours to keep—you won’t lose them. You’ll continue to be able to use the features you’ve paid for, regardless of whether you subscribe to the latest version.
Do I have to subscribe to keep access to Logos?
No, you won’t be forced to subscribe to Logos.
Unlike most software companies, we make our latest software available to everyone. Even if the last feature set you bought was Logos 4 in 2009 (or even version 1 in 1992!), you’ll continue to receive free app updates, ensuring you can keep using Logos anytime you change computers or upgrade your operating system. You’ll continue to receive bug fixes for free, too. But you won’t get access to the powerful new and improved features offered in the subscription version of Logos.
Is there Dynamic Pricing or subscription discounts for Logos owners?
There is no Dynamic Pricing on subscriptions, however, we wanted to honor those loyal to Logos and keep to the spirit of Dynamic Pricing. This means all customers who own a base package will receive special pricing on our new subscriptions. Logos 10 owners will receive the best subscription prices based on their feature set. Customers who own any base package (regardless of version or level) will also receive a slightly smaller discount. If you cancel your subscription, you will still be eligible for your discount should you return to the subscription again. Log in to logos.com and check your price here.
Can I switch my monthly subscription to an annual subscription, or change to a different tier?
Yes, you can manage your Logos subscription by going to https://www.logos.com/account/subscriptions. From there, you can turn off auto-renew, switch your term length, or change your subscription plan.
Can I switch from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription and pay for two years upfront, or add a second year to my annual subscription?
You can update your subscription to take advantage of the two-year up-front offer. To lock in two years of access, go to this page, select your plan—billed annually—and check the box to “Add an extra year.” You’ll see the entire plan summary there, and don’t worry: We’ll prorate your subscription to account for what you’ve already paid.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, just visit https://www.logos.com/account/subscriptions.
Can I return my subscription for a refund within the 30-day return window?
No. Our 30-day return policy applies to one-time product purchases, such as the 2025 Library, not to subscriptions. When you subscribe, you receive immediate access to a curated collection of books and tools, along with exclusive benefits and updates. For this reason, we do not offer refunds on subscription fees.
If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Support team at cs@logos.com. For assistance with getting the most out of your subscription, you can find support articles at support.logos.com, or sign up for live training webinars.
Will the free version of Logos continue to be available?
Yes, it will still be available. We want Logos to continue to be the most accessible and powerful place for believers to study the Word.
You can see what’s in the free edition here. With it, any Christian can still go deeper in the Word with access to resources and features like Bible Word Study, the Basic Bible Study Workflow, and a limited version of Factbook without having to pay anything.
Can I still buy and keep books, or will they be subscription-only too?
You’ll still be able to purchase books individually or in a collection and own them forever.
You’ll also still be able to buy permanent access to Logos libraries and any other books from our catalog. To purchase the latest libraries you will need to subscribe to Logos, however, our Legacy Libraries will be available to everyone. In the future, we may add book subscription options for those who want it, but we don’t foresee a time when we’ll stop selling permanent licenses to books and curated libraries.
If I buy new books or libraries while I’m subscribed and then unsubscribe, will I lose them?
No, the books or libraries you buy are yours forever. If you unsubscribe, you will only lose access to what was included in the subscription.
When will denominational libraries be available for purchase, and will I be able to get 30% off?
2025 denominational libraries will be available in Q1 of 2025. When they launch, subscribers will be eligible for a 30% discount—even if they've already purchased a 2025 library for 30% off.
Can I give Logos to someone?
Yes, contact our sales team to get help blessing a friend with a Logos subscription or library.
Is my investment safe with Logos?
Yes, Logos is in a strong financial position and well-equipped to serve you and our mission for the long haul. We’re committed to increasing biblical literacy and accessibility for every Christian in the world, and our work isn’t anywhere near done yet.
Where can I see the terms I agree to when I subscribe?
I am already subscribed to Logos. How can I get the 2-year option?
You can update your subscription to take advantage of the two-year up-front offer. To lock in two years of access, go to this page, select your plan—billed annually—and check the box to “Add an extra year.” You’ll see the entire plan summary there, and don’t worry: We’ll prorate your subscription to account for what you’ve already paid.
If I don’t subscribe to Logos or cancel my subscription, will my software eventually stop working?
No, your software won’t stop working. If you don’t subscribe, you’ll miss out on the powerful new and improved features that are exclusive to subscribers – but all Logos users will continue to receive bug fixes and compatibility updates to ensure you can continue to keep using Logos far into the future.
If I don’t subscribe to Logos or cancel my subscription, will I lose any of the features I already own?
No, you won’t lose features you already own just because you’re not a subscriber. All Logos users can continue to use features and books that they’ve purchased in the past. You won’t lose those features or books you already own just because you don’t subscribe or because you cancel your subscription. (We occasionally remove old features from the software if they’re no longer helpful. For example, in 2024, we removed Community Notes, Handout Documents, and Faithlife Assistant. That happens only rarely, and if so, it would affect all users, including subscribers.)

How does the 5% annual reward program work?
Pro and Max subscribers are eligible for the 5% annual reward program. This program gives subscribers a coupon worth 5% off all qualifying purchases made while continuously subscribed during the past calendar year—including free trials, early access subscriptions, and qualifying items in the transaction that initiated the subscription (e.g., 2025 libraries). Reward coupon codes will be sent each February.
To receive the reward, subscribers must remain active on a Pro or Max subscription until the reward coupon is issued. Reward coupon codes must be used on a single purchase and expire 90 days from issuance. For example, if you downgrade from or cancel a Pro or Max subscription, and restart it later in the year, only the purchases made after returning to the subscription will be included in the 5% annual reward.
Usage restrictions:
- Must be an active subscriber.
- Purchase of credit, bulk licenses, and group licenses will not count toward the 5% promo code.
- 5% promo code can NOT be used to purchase the following items: purchase of credit, bulk licenses, and is subject to other exemptions.
- Only purchases made during the time you are a subscriber qualify for rewards.
- Purchases made with credit will earn rewards.
- Promo codes are non-transferable and not retroactive.
Will I still get my 2% reward coupon for being a Connect subscriber?
Yes! As a migrated Connect subscriber, as long as you stay active, you will receive 2% back for the time you were subscribed to Connect and 5% back for the time you were subscribed to Pro. We’ll combine your total reward and deliver it to you via coupon code in Q1 of 2025.

Common questions about the Legacy Fallback License
FAQ

Here are the most common questions about the use of AI in Logos
FAQ
Does AI really have a place in Bible study?
Christians have always been at the forefront of technology when it comes to accessing and understanding the Bible, whether adopting the codex in the second century or the printing press in the fifteenth. However, AI has limitations, fallibilities, and biases because it mirrors and sometimes amplifies weaknesses found in all human authors. That’s why Logos always lets you know when you’re reading AI-generated content. In addition, Logos’s AI tools are backed by your Logos library and designed to ensure AI is used responsibly and in a way appropriate for Bible study.
To further explore this topic, you may be interested to read “A Theology of AI by a Bible Software Nerd” by Mark Ward and “How Should We Think about AI & Bible Study” by Mark Barnes, published on Word by Word.
Will more AI-assisted features be available through subscription in the future?
We are working to apply the use of AI responsibly so that the Holy Spirit’s leading is always foremost. Within those guidelines, we plan to offer additional carefully selected capabilities incorporating AI assistance. See more about our approach to AI here.
Is there a usage limit on AI tools?
To ensure a fair level of access for every user, each subscriber gets a fair usage limit on AI tools each month. The limits are generous—typically, we allow thousands of uses of AI features each month before you hit the limit. The app will let you know when you’re getting close.
Can I buy more AI credits À la carte if I run out?
No, but Pro gives you double the credits of Premium, and Max gives you 50% more credits than Pro. In the unlikely event that you use all your AI credits, you can upgrade your plan to increase your credit allotment or wait for your credits to renew at the start of your next month.
Does the AI save my data? If so, what is it used for?
Some of our tools allow users to send private documents or copyrighted content to AI services. We only send the specific content the user requests, and we never use this data to train AI, nor do we allow any of our technology partners to do so. We require our technology partners to use this data only for the purposes of our tool and not to retain it longer than is needed for that purpose.
When am I getting AI-powered results from my library vs. something else?
We are transparent and open about which parts of which tools use AI so users can choose whether and how to use those tools for themselves. AI-generated content is always clearly indicated so no student or pastor can unknowingly use AI-generated content in their papers or sermons.
How does your AI work? Are you using ChatGPT/OpenAI?
We use a variety of large language models and other AI tools and choose each one based on its suitability for specific tasks. We monitor the effectiveness of these models and can quickly switch to better-performing or more reliable models if we discover frequent bias or other adverse issues.
