Treasures from Luke includes alliterated outlines and Greek word studies. Volume 1 provides verse-by-verse commentary on the first six chapters of Luke. It analyzes John the Baptist and Jesus’ births and ministries—as well as Jesus’ healing, calling of the disciples, and teaching. Volume 2 provides verse-by-verse commentary on Luke 7–9. It analyzes Jesus’ miracles, parables, foretelling, and transfiguration. The third volume continues with study of chapters 10-12, analyzing Jesus' teaching and ministry. Volume 4 pictures in Luke 13 and examines Jesus' parables, teaching, and healing through chapter 17. In volume 5, Mattoon studies the triumphal entry, parables, and Jesus foretelling of future events in chapters 18-21. Rod Mattoon is the pastor of Lincoln Land Baptist Church in Springfield, Illinois, having served there since 1991. He attended Hyles-Anderson College, where he met his wife Linda. Later, he studied at Bethany Theological Seminary, where he earned his Doctor of Ministry. He is the author of over 40 books on the Old and New Testaments.
