Overview

Escape the enemy’s deadly trap! The Bait of Satan exposes one of the most deceptive snares Satan uses to get believers out of the will of God-offense. Most people who are ensnared by the bait of Satan don’t even realize it. Don’t be fooled! You will encounter offense, and it’s up to you how it will affect your relationship with God. Your response will determine your future. If offense is handled correctly, you will become stronger rather than bitter. In this new twentieth anniversary edition, John Bevere shows you how to identify the traps ahead of you and escape the victim mentality. With declaration-style prayers and testimonials from people whose lives have been changed by his message, this book will inspire you to stay free from offense and its destructive power.

Top Highlights

“One way the enemy keeps a person in an offended state is to keep the offense hidden, cloaked with pride. Pride will keep you from admitting your true condition.” (Page 7)

“The possibilities for offense are as endless as the list of relationships, no matter how complex or simple. This truth remains: Only those you care about can hurt you. You expect more from them—after all, you’ve given more of yourself to them. The higher the expectations, the greater the fall.” (Page 6)

“A minister or a Christian is what he lives, not what he preaches.” (Page 17)

“Offense is a tool of the devil to bring people into captivity” (Page 6)

“An offense leads to betrayal, and betrayal leads to hatred.” (Page 19)

John Bevere (born June 2, 1959) is an Evangelist, Bible Teacher and best selling author originating from Colorado. Although he moves in the same circles as some Word of Faith teachers, claims are that his message is very different. His ministry, Messenger International, has confirmed that he is not a part of the movement. He is a man who writes on a variety of Christian and biblical-based topics and tours both nationally and internationally speaking on those topics.
