Overview

Both beginning and advanced students of Greek will find this an invaluble tool. It enables one to read the text more quickly, seeing at a glance the grammatical relationships between words. It serves admirably as a reference tool, allowing one to check in a moment the accuracy of his own analysis of a word. And it proves most helpful to those looking for creative ways to review and improve their knowledge of Greek.

The analysis is, write the editors in a lengthy, explanatory appendix that should be of interest to all scholars and serious students of Greek, "both traditional and innovative, both transparent and opaque." It takes into account more than morphological considerations, considering sentence-level and discourse-level information as well. "This volume reflects discourse principles," write the editors, "especially in its analysis of conjunctions and particles."

This resource includes Nestle Aland 27th ed.

Please note, the in-line morphological information found in the print edition can be found by right clicking or hovering over a word in the Logos edition

Just for the record, AGNT does include the Friberg morphological codes. They show up as popups (can't be seen directly in the greek text). And they show up in a right-click. Additionally, the resource includes extensive appendix. Indeed, appendix examples can be traced directly to the appropriate reference (eg Luke 11:10, final verb. Glosses indeed are Logos copyrighted.

The Analytical Greek New Testament is an invaluable resource that is NOT IN THIS PRODUCT. Open to any passage, and you will see the NA27 Greek text, with no analysis. No morphology. Nothing. Just the Greek text. The appendices in the back of the book are valuable, but it is frustrating not to be able to use this book the way it was intended.

I was disappointed to not find the grammatical analysis included.

The strengths of this resource include a) a copy of Nestle Aland 27 b) a complete and unique morphological analysis of the Greek NT. Downsides: a) This version does not come with the original Timothy and Barbara Friberg glosses, but with Logos glosses. b) Double clicking on a word does not open one's default lexicon but the Analytical Greek Lexicon. I know of no way of changing this. c) The text of Nestle Aland does not come with the Apparatus. d) The price.
