And a highway shall be there, and a way, And it shall be called The way of holiness... —Isaiah 35:8 There is a way that God has called each of His children to follow. It is the way of holiness. And He is so committed to our walk on this path that He has given us easily identifiable signposts to guide us. The question is whether we will choose to follow them. When you come to the crossroads of spiritual decision, you have a choice: to either heed God's signs and continue day by day on this important way, or to ignore them and muddle through. You may be struggling with sin, wrestling with forgiving someone who has hurt you deeply, or battling with the idea of submitting yourself wholly to God. No matter where you find yourself, denying or ignoring God's directions will leave you immature and ineffective; following them will allow you to handle these situations wisely, obediently, graciously—and victoriously. The Way of Holiness clearly illustrates that each crisis of decision in the Christian life is a turning point. An opportunity to choose God, to express your devotion to Him, and to experience His direction. There are inevitable decisions you will face in your Christian walk. Making biblical choices will free you to enjoy all that God has for you on the way of holiness. About the Author Stephen F. Olford was born in Zambia and was raised in Angola, where he committed his life to Christ and witnessed first-hand the transforming power of God and His Word. He spent his college years in the United Kingdom. After receiving ministry training, Dr. Olford was appointed an Army Scripture Reader during Word War II, and he launched a Young Peoples Christian fellowship in Newport, South Wales. In 1953, Dr. Olford’s years of pastoral ministry began by serving the Duke Street Baptist Church in Richmond, Surrey England, 1953-1959 and then the Calvary Baptist Church in New York City, 1959-1973. He pioneered a Christian TV program, Encounter, in New York, and his Sunday morning services were broadcast around the world on radio.Dr. Olford moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1985 to develop a training program and Center to encourage and equip preachers and teachers of God’s Word. In 1988 the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching was dedicated, and it remains the headquarters of Olford Ministries International.Dr. Olford has received numerous awards, honorary degrees and distinctions. As an ordained Baptist minister and a conservative evangelical by conviction, he ministered across many denominational, cultural, and racial lines. Besides his extensive preaching ministry. He authored numerous books, booklets, and preaching resources. Dr. Olford passed away in the fall of 2004.

About Stephen F. Olford

Stephen F. Olford (1918-2004) was a 20th century Christian leader. Dr. Billy Graham called him “the man who most influenced my ministry. ” He was a personal confidant of Graham. Olford was also a role model and friend to prominent pastors such as Charles Stanley and Adrian Rogers. He was a pioneer in Christian television programming with his show, Encounter, in New York. His Sunday morning sermons were also broadcast around the world on radio.
