About Rick Warren

Rick Warren (1954– ) founded one of the largest and well-known churches in the world: Saddleback Church. Started in Orange County, California, in 1980, Saddleback now has over 20,000 in attendance each week. He also founded the Purpose Driven movement, a network of tens of thousands of churches from all denominations across the world. Using the teachings of the Purpose Driven movement, Warren wrote the book, The Purpose Driven Church, and devotional, The Purpose Driven Life, which has sold over 25 million copies.

Warren earned degrees from California Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary.
