Talk about a big disappointment. Appalling editing. Again and again, the same paragraph was repeated. Literally word for word. At first I thought I was sleep-reading, but no - the editing was genuinely done as well as an eighth-grade assignment the night before it was due. Poor principles too. When you are trying to convince me that the Israelites wandered in the desert due to their poor strategizing, or that God's call to Ezekiel should bear resemblance to God's call to you, I find that shonky exegesis where the tail wags the dog. Hey look, a few sentences here and there were helpful. They were the exception though. Nelson Searcy has undoubtedly done great things for God - this book is just not one of them.
