A very insightful read and a satisfying account on John calvin, giving you the essentials of his life. I appreciated the sections on the impact that John Calvin made on modern society and hearing the opinions of other great theologians on John Calvin was quite a delight to read through. My only issue I had was with the chronological structure. There were times that I was unsure when exactly an event occured, an example is with Calvin's conversion. Hall seems to discuss specific events twice in separate paragraphs, while discussing other events inbetween, which then left me unsure where to place this specific event. Other than that, I believe it gives a well rounded account for those who want to know the life of John Calvin.Yohanan Kwee
