This book is good to read when you want to learn novel things about preaching. It uses many strong quotations, from well know Christians especially from the past. Another point in favour to read the book is that it has many Biblical principles. Added to this, it has a brilliant chapter on the important role listeners have. This was very insightful and hopefully, I can address this in a sermon. Some points which can be better are some of his personal illustrations which were not always very relevant. Another thing is that the book is written for preachers that are provided by a congregation. However, this is a luxury for many preachers in the world. For example, I know a person from Bulgaria with a PhD in Theology with a great zeal for Christ that is preaching. However, he also needs to work much next to his preaching. Still, the tips are good, but not every preacher can spend as much time on a sermon as a well-paid preacher. Still, I found it a refreshing book and is certainly worth reading.
