Overview

Power through Prayer challenges the reader to completely alter their perspective on prayer. Rather than simply crossing off a task on a chore list, taking time to pray is meant to deepen a relationship with God. E. M. Bounds lays out the most effective ways to use prayer in this manner and to unleash God’s power. Bounds describes the transformative nature of prayer in one’s personal life, in ministry, and in the world. This manual offers powerful and practical advice on how to improve one’s prayer life and, in turn, their relationship with God. 1. Thomas B Sprague
This book consists of an extended series of clever comments about prayer, especially its importance and effects on the Christian minister. While this author has been widely read and appreciated, I can't say I found it especially helpful. For me, an extended series of quips is both less engaging and less helpful than an orderly development of ideas. With respect to the author and the many who feel otherwise, I did not enjoy it nor can I recommend it.
