Just as he called Peter, so Christ calls us to the path of discipleship. As Jack Hayford explores the marks of true discipleship in Living the Spirit-Formed Life, he helps us understand what it means to abide each day in Christ.

With compassionate answers for your troubling questions, God’s Word shines with hope in the dark night of human pain. God showed his tenderness when David lost a child he had with Bathsheba. In his pain and grief, David spoke the word of revelation—the reassuring word of God’s truth—saying, “I will go to [my child] but he will not return to me” (2 Samuel 12:19–23).
As Jack Hayford says, “This isn’t myth, fable, legend, or a selection of poetic thoughts for the sorrowful. This is truth to set us free. Here we are specifically freed to expect to meet children in heaven, to recognize them and to be with them.”
Let Jack Hayford show you the freeing truth of the Word of God and its promises that one day, like David, you will hold your child in heaven.
When it feels as if there is no hope left and you don’t know whom to turn to, where should you go? Through the words of Jesus, Jack W. Hayford unfolds the secret of triumphing over the ultimate season of suffering and reveals how to regain hope in the midst of seemingly impossible situations.
By focusing on the power of the Cross, you will find hope and help to handle trials that come your way. You will be encouraged and inspired by real-life stories of individuals overcoming incredible challenges, including Hayford’s experience of walking through the sudden death of his son-in-law. You will be heartened by stories of bravery and integrity—even while facing the anguish of marital infidelity or financial collapse. Hope for a Hopeless Day does more than encourage you to endure; it inspires you to overcome.
The seeds you plant in the lives of your children will either grow into good, healthy fruit or weeds that can choke out their potential and promise. But if you’re like many parents, grandparents, and mentors, you may not always know how to speak life into a child or teen. In Blessing Your Children, Jack Hayford shares his biblical knowledge and firsthand experience to show you how to bless the children in your life with words of encouragement, nurture, protection, and challenge. He reveals Jesus’ tender heart for children and offers a biblical blueprint for passing on God’s promises to future generations.
The call to bless our children is a divine assignment; and with the grace of God and the help of the Holy Spirit, we can pass on an inheritance that will never fade.
—Gary Smalley, author, The Gift of the Blessing
