Volume one contains the first 23 sermons from Ralph Erskine. Some of his sermon topics include: The Vanity of Earthly Things and Worldly Enjoyments, Christ the People’s Covenant, The Militant’s Song: The Believer’s Exercise While Here Below, and Preventing Love: God’s Love to Us, the Cause of our Love to Him.
Volume two contains sermons 24–51 from Ralph Erskine. Some of his sermon topics include: The Law of God’s House, The Lamb in the Midst of the Throne, The Promising God, A Performing God, and The Time of Need, A Time of Love.

Volume six contains sermons 134–154 as well as 14 sermons on prayer from Ralph Erskine. Volume seven contains a short biography on the life Ralph Erskine, a preface to Poetical works, Gospel sonnets broken up into six parts, 8 chapters on the Song of Solomon, songs from Scripture, and a few more miscellaneous poems.
