Robert Jamieson (1802–1880) was a clergyman and scholar influential in the Scottish church. He is the author of Eastern Manners Illustrative of the Old and new Testaments, Manners and Trials of the Primitive Christians and co-author of A Commentary, Critical, Experimental and Practical, on the Old and New Testaments.
David Brown (1803–1897) was professor of theology at Free Church College in the University of Aberdeen. He served as director of the National Bible Society of Scotland, the Evangelical Alliance, and the Alliance of the Reformed Churches. His works include The Restoration of the Jews, The Apocalypse, and Crushed Hopes Crowned in Death.
A.R. Fausset was a sometime scholar and gold medalist in classics at Trinity College in Dublin. He is a coauthor of A Commentary, Critical, Experimental and Practical, on the Old and New Testaments.
