Overview

Verbum’s Advanced Homiletics Training builds on the Verbum 360 Training videos by taking a deeper look at homiletic application of the software. But you don’t have to be giving a homily to learn a lot from these videos. Fr. Devin Roza, LC, is visiting Professor of New Testament at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, and Fr. Andrew Dalton, LC, is Professor assistant of New Testament at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. They guide you through the tools and process they use to prepare their own homilies.

You’ll learn advanced techniques for studying Scripture in the context of the Church’s Liturgy. Why do these readings occur on the same day? What is the core message of the Bible text? What have Church Fathers said about this passage? By the time you finish this video, you’ll be excited to study the daily readings whether you need to write a homily or not.

Nice idea, but the videos are dated and very frustrating to follow. They show one thing on the screen, but in the current version of Verbum, it is completely different and hard to follow.
