The size of the Old Testament, covering as it does approximately 3/4 of the total text of the Bible, may contribute to so few believers giving the time and place to it that they should, to the impoverishing of their spiritual understanding and experience. The Old Testament was the Bible used by our Lord when He was here; it was also the Bible of the early church as it spread the gospel of the grace of God across the Near East.
