Many printed Bibles list cross-references in a center column, because people like to see where one part of Scripture is related to another. Looking up cross-references helps you to follow the principle of interpreting Scripture in light of Scripture, but it can be a pretty time-consuming process and it's easy to become lost when flipping between books and chapters. Let’s look at the Cross References section of the Passage Guide report at left to see how it makes it easy and natural to use cross-references in your study. Notice that just one title is listed—Treasury of Scripture Knowledge—but that doesn't mean there's a shortage of information in this area. A single click opens Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, where we see an abundance of cross references for John 15:4.
How long would it take you to look up all these cross references in a print book? Would you even bother, or would you get tired and give up after looking up just a few? Logos Bible Software makes a task like this incredibly easy. Notice that just by moving the cursor over the Bible reference, a pop-up window shows the verse. If you click a reference, your preferred Bible version will jump open to that verse. This is automation at work for you!
